Solar Lamps for 75 Families in Five Villages
Jharkhand Mahila Jagriti, Amritnagar, is carrying out a pre-school and nutrition support project in Hazaribagh district with the support of the Jiv Daya Foundation.
As part of this work, the organisation provided 75 solar lamps to families who struggle to afford electricity and lighting because of economic hardship. The lamps reached five villages: Pipcho, Jarga, Jharpo, Badwar and Dewariya.
Priority was given to families whose children are enrolled in the pre-school and nutrition centres, so that children can study, eat and stay safe after dark. A small light is bringing new hope and brighter evenings to these homes.
