'Dobha' Construction (Covid-19 Relief Work)
Jharkhand Mahila Jagriti, in collaboration with Goonj NGO, began its first set of relief-work projects. The first involves the construction of a 'dobha' — a traditional small-scale water-storage pond that also serves as a recharge pit. All the workers are provided with rations, food materials and other essentials such as masks and sanitizers for the work.
It is a small step towards ensuring that livelihoods are not severely affected during the pandemic. We will continuously work on further measures to provide relief to all sections of society affected by the pandemic.
